Overview:
For Gemma, it was another day at work as a robotics for Funki–a toy company. When she was explaining her creation, she suddenly gets a phone call from the hospital. She then learns that her niece, Cady, was in a car accident in which her parents passed away.
In the next few days, Cady is already situated into Gemma’s home. Gemma does everything she can, to make sure her niece feels safe and comfortable. Throughout Cady’s therapy, her therapist informs Gemma that she needs to form a relationship with her niece. At first she did not know how, but when she brought up her work, Cady was invested.
Soon enough, Gemma was back at work and convinced her boss that her new creation will succeed. Even though he was a bit hesitant, he let her proceed. With that, Gemma introduced M3GAN– a robot who was designed to form a relationship with a child–to Cady.
Next thing Cady knew, M3GAN moved in. Gemma took this step because she saw how Cady started to open up. At first, everything was going smoothly, but then, unusual occurrences began to happen. The dog next door and a kid from camp both disappeared.
From there, all hell breaks loose and everyone soon realized what M3GAN is truly capable of.
Overview:
This movie was as good as it was going to get. If you want a film that makes you jump out of your seat, then this is not for you. Though it might not be scripted, the film has a comedy effect to it. Who expected M3GAN to start singing? Or even dancing, when she was on her way to kill?
The actors really are what made the film come alive, with their incredible expressions. As soon as Williams was on the screen, you knew she was going to give it her all. You could really see the relationship between Cady and Gemma strengthen, throughout the movie. Which kept the movie on its plot.
Having a robot as the main situation, really gives an aspect into human life now. Since the 2000s, everyone has acknowledge that robots are a true factor to our future. Will they be as murder driven as M3GAN, or even as social? We will not know until the day is here.
Since the movie did well, it will be no surprise if the producers decides to make a part two. But with being said, will M3GAN be in it, or will there be a whole new robot?
